1. Not every position requires passing CET-46. In the National Civil Service Examination, only some positions require candidates to pass CET-46 or obtain the corresponding CET-46 score (425 points). Candidates should pay attention to the national civil service examination. Check the "Remarks" column of the job list to see if the position you want to apply for has any level 4 or 6 restrictions.
2. Passing CET-4 or CET-6 may not necessarily allow you to apply for certain positions. In the National Civil Service Examination, some positions require candidates to not only pass CET-4 or CET-6, but also have high scores. For example, in the 2016 National Civil Service Examination, the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Foreign Affairs Bureau of the General Office and the English Senior Translation Director Section of the Foreign Affairs Bureau For positions of officer and below, candidates are required to have a score of 70 or above for Professional Level 4 or 70 or above for College English Level 6 (more than 500 points under the new scoring system). Another example is the Chief Staff Member of the Ministry of Science and Technology last year. The following three positions of overseas reserve personnel (English direction) also require a score of 500 or more under the new scoring system of Level 4 and Level 6.
