Domestic commercial geological work is mainly in Xinjiang, Qinghai, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Hebei, Henan, Hunan, Guangxi, Yunnan, Sichuan, Jiangsu, Guangdong and other provinces (regions), including commercial mineral exploration, technical services and engineering construction.

The foreign geological work of Non-ferrous Geological Survey Center is mainly carried out in Zimbabwe, Barbados, New Guinea, Zambia, Ethiopia, Philippines, Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Pakistan, Angola, Laos, Chile and other countries 10, and mineral risk exploration, comprehensive technical services and engineering construction business are carried out. At present, project companies have been registered in Laos, Chile, Zambia and Ethiopia.

(3) The problem of retirees' expense gap. There are many historical debts owed by geological prospecting units, and there is a big gap in the expenses of retirees, which has not been completely solved for a long time, which has restricted the reform and development of geological prospecting teams to varying degrees.

(4) The equipment is aging, the infrastructure is obsolete, and the ability to update geological prospecting equipment is low.

(2) Suggestions on promoting the reform and development of geological prospecting units (industries)

(1) Take more effective measures to support non-public geological prospecting units and enterprises. Wearing a career hat is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, the "career hat" is conducive to stabilizing people's hearts and winning the support of national career funds; On the other hand, "professional hat" also hinders the change of employees' concept and the efforts of market development. The state equates the management of enterprise geological prospecting units with the management of general institutions, which makes geological prospecting units encounter a series of problems in investment, diversified reform of property rights and design of incentive mechanism. It is suggested that the state can define non-public geological prospecting units as enterprises, design the reform and development of non-public geological prospecting units as a whole under the attribute of "enterprise", and give clear and a series of inclined support in policies, such as five-year income tax relief for geological prospecting units and their affiliated enterprises, support for equipment and scientific and technological innovation funds, keeping the original national project channels unchanged for five years or setting up the basic geological work fund of state-owned geological prospecting units, and retaining the professional identity of employees in the original institutions when they retire, and so on. It is suggested that the state (local) finance should bear the retirees and related expenses, and gradually promote the socialized management of retirees, so that enterprise geological prospecting units can participate in market competition with other market entities on an equal starting point.

(3) Open the reporting channels for geological prospecting projects, and the transfer income of geological prospecting fund projects will be tilted towards geological prospecting units. When non-localized geological prospecting units declare national geological projects, they strongly demand to cancel the practice of certification, evaluation and review by local competent units, so as to prevent the "local protection" geological prospecting fund (working capital) from playing a greater role in supporting the enterprise reform of geological prospecting units, and its transfer income is tilted towards state-owned geological prospecting units.

(4) Increase support for overseas geological and mineral work. As a national strategy, "going out" cannot stop at the general call and general support.
