Guangdong Province is located at the southernmost tip of Chinese mainland. It borders Fujian in the east, Jiangxi and Hunan in the north, Guangxi in the west and the South China Sea in the south. The east and west sides of the Pearl River Estuary border Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions respectively, and the Leizhou Peninsula in the southwest faces Hainan Province across the Qiongzhou Strait.

There are 2 1 prefecture-level cities in Guangdong province, which are divided into four regions: Pearl River Delta, East Guangdong, West Guangdong and North Guangdong.
1, Pearl River Delta: Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing and Huizhou;
2. East Guangdong: Shantou, Chaozhou, Jieyang and Shanwei;
3. Western Guangdong: Zhanjiang, Maoming, Yangjiang and Yunfu;
4. Northern Guangdong: Shaoguan, Qingyuan, Meizhou and Heyuan.
According to the national constitution and relevant laws and regulations, Guangdong Province has established three autonomous counties, namely Liannan Yao Autonomous County, Lianshan Zhuang Yao Autonomous County and Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County, and seven ethnic townships, namely Yao 'an Yao Township in Lianzhou City, Sanshui Yao Township, Lantian Yao Township in Longmen County, Xiashuai Zhuang Yao Township in Huaiji County, Shendushui Yao Township in Shixing County, Chengjia Yao Township in Yangshan County and Zhangxi She Township in Dongyuan County.
