Patent transfer registration process

The process is as follows: 1. Sign the transfer contract. A contract for assignment of patent application right refers to a contract in which the assignor assigns its patent application right for invention-creation to the assignee, and the assignee pays the agreed price. 2. The materials that need to be prepared when going through the registration formalities in the Patent Office include the statement of the change description project and the certification materials of the change description project, and then submit them to China National Intellectual Property Administration together with the patent transfer contract. 3. After submitting relevant materials, if it is necessary to pay the change fee for describing the project, it shall be paid within one month from the date of making the request. 4. After the submitted materials have passed the examination, China National Intellectual Property Administration will issue a notice of qualification change. People's Republic of China (PRC) Patent Law Article 2 Invention-creation as mentioned in this Law refers to inventions, utility models and designs. Invention refers to a new technical scheme proposed for a product, method or its improvement. Utility model refers to a new practical technical scheme for the shape, structure or combination of products. Appearance design refers to a new design with aesthetic feeling and suitable for industrial application based on the shape, pattern or combination of products and the combination of colors, shapes and patterns.
