Early stage: German SCHOTT developed the technology of combining LED and glass and successfully applied for an invention patent.

Mid-term: China Zunhua successfully applied for a national invention patent, and then began to apply it in some domestic municipal projects in 2008 to solve the energy-saving and environmentally friendly lighting engineering transformation. [3]

Later period: Based on its actual experience in the World Expo project and the requirements of international standards, China Zunhua solved the problems of visible wires and busbars in the glass of previous LED glass products.

In early 2009, Zunhua Electronics developed a completely transparent new LED glass product and fully promoted it in the commercial market. Since then, the development of LED glass has entered a new era. LED glass itself is both a safety glass and a building laminated glass. It has UV protection and some infrared energy-saving effects, and can be widely used for indoor and outdoor purposes. Due to the energy-saving characteristics of LED itself, LED glass is extremely energy-saving, energy-saving and environmentally friendly.

Process status

Glass: Glass panels are optional, and customers can freely choose from various products such as ordinary float glass, ultra-white glass, fire-resistant glass, insulated glass, tempered glass, semi-tempered glass, coated glass, etc. The glass structure is a sandwich structure and should comply with European EN standards, American ASTM standards and all domestic safety glass application standards.

Particles: Genuine LED particles are used because they are designed to have a practical life, luminous effect and energy consumption effect. Double-sided light-emitting LED to ensure double-sided transparency of the glass.

Wire: transparent wire, because transparent wire must be treated with high temperature and high pressure and coating technology. This is not just a matter of aesthetics and application, but also a matter of safety in use. Hand-produced wires are prone to brittleness during long-term use. [Glass itself is elastic, and contact with external forces such as wind will have different effects on the wires]

Interlayer: Use the world's top quality imported PVB interlayer film, which should meet European safety glass standards ( EN standard) to ensure the safety and service life of laminated glass. PVB interlayer should be laminated in an autoclave instead of an ordinary furnace to ensure the best quality of laminated glass. It is never allowed to use EVA or grouting and other laminated methods that do not meet the top safety glass standards. The processing factory should hold a test report and certificate that the laminated glass has passed European standards.

Coating: Online coating technology. It is known that the cost of online coating is much higher than offline coating. The difference can be seen from the later service life. The offline coating will gradually oxidize in about a year, causing the glass sandwich LED lamp to no longer emit light. Online coating uses a post-oxidation process so that the oxidized film can continue to conduct electricity. Therefore, the practical life is also several times that of offline coating.

Application: Only when the application in a large area can ensure a safe voltage of 24 volts can it be truly an environmentally friendly and energy-saving new material.

Scratches: It can meet international standards, and there are no scratches at all after many processes.

Light change: You can use the chip to control changes, such as flickering, gradient and other effects [5].

Voltage: The voltage used by LED glass is a safe voltage. According to relevant national regulations, the voltage range should not be higher than 24 volts, otherwise it cannot be used for building decoration.
