The World Intellectual Property Report 2022 released by the World Intellectual Property Organization at its headquarters in Geneva discussed a series of complex decisions and provided directional guidance for life-changing innovation activities.
The report shows that the innovation activities in the last century have made great progress every certain number of years, which is 25 times higher than the previous innovation activities. This growth is driven by a series of technologies.

In the 35 years before 2000, computer and related innovations (information and communication technology) tripled, with an annual growth rate of 8% during this period, accounting for 24% of all patents in 2000.
The report pointed out that digitalization is a new major innovation and change. It is changing today's industry by changing the object, type and process of innovation.
In the 20 years before 2020, digital innovation quadrupled, accounting for 12% of all patent applications, with an annual growth rate of 13%. In addition, in order to achieve economic development, new technologies are widely used.
