Article 1 These Provisions are formulated in accordance with the Regulations on Academic Degrees in People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Interim Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on Academic Degrees in People's Republic of China (PRC), combined with the actual situation of our university.

Article 2 The school grants bachelor's degrees in nine disciplines, including literature, history, philosophy, law, economics, management, science, engineering and medicine.

Article 3 Ordinary undergraduate graduates who meet the following basic conditions must apply to Xiangtan University for the award of a bachelor's degree within the study period stipulated by the school (no more than six years from the date of admission), otherwise the bachelor's degree will not be awarded:

1, law-abiding, good conduct.

2, complete the requirements of undergraduate teaching plan, approved graduation, better grasp the basic theory, professional knowledge and basic skills of this subject, and have the preliminary ability to engage in scientific research or as a specialized technical work.

3. During the school period, the violation of school rules and regulations shall not exceed 1 time, and the punishment shall be above.

4. Non-foreign language and literature majors meet one of the following conditions within the study period stipulated by the school:

(1) CET4 score reached 50 before the reform or 410 after the reform; Or students majoring in art have passed the national English proficiency test; Or take an overseas language test organized by an authoritative organization to meet the requirements of going abroad;

(2) The scores of compulsory courses (excluding practical teaching) for students with bachelor's degrees in science and engineering shall not exceed 35 credits, and the scores of compulsory courses for students with other bachelor's degrees shall not exceed 20 credits;

(3) Participate in the discipline competition and win the third prize at the provincial level and above;

(4) Participate in provincial sports competitions (including regional trials equivalent to the provincial level) and win gold, silver and bronze medals or the top three, and participate in national and above sports competitions to win medals or rankings;

(5) Participate in national literary and art competitions on behalf of the school and win national awards;

(6) Publicly publish academic papers related to their majors in important international and domestic academic journals with Xiangtan University as the first completion unit, among which SCI and EI are the first authors or correspondent authors of journals, or CSCD, CSSCI and Peking University are the first authors of journals in China Core Journals Overview;

(7) Obtaining patent authorization with Xiangtan University as the first completion unit, among which the top three inventors of invention patents, or the top two inventors of utility model patents, or the first inventor of design patents;

(eight) the copyright owner who has obtained the software copyright registration;

(9) being admitted as a master's student (excluding students in postgraduate courses).

Article 4 Overseas Chinese from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and undergraduates studying in China who meet the requirements in the first, second and third paragraphs of Article 3 of these Provisions may be awarded bachelor's degrees.

Article 5 Procedures for awarding bachelor's degrees

1. The bachelor's degree is awarded once a year in June, and students who meet the conditions for awarding should apply to the college for degree award before May of that year;

2. academic degree evaluation committee examines the application and submits the list of bachelor's degrees and related materials to the Academic Affairs Office;

3. After examination, the Academic Affairs Office puts forward the proposal of awarding bachelor's degree list and submits it to academic degree evaluation committee for examination and approval.

Article 6 If a bachelor's degree certificate is lost, it shall not be reissued. The bachelor's degree will not be renewed after the effective acceptance time for granting the bachelor's degree.

Article 7 These Provisions shall come into force as of the date of promulgation, and the original relevant regulations or provisions of the school that are inconsistent with these Provisions shall be abolished accordingly.

Article 8 The Academic Affairs Office shall be responsible for the interpretation of these Provisions.
