After the patent is submitted

According to the provisions of the Patent Law, the applicant can modify the patent application documents after they are submitted. Can the patent application documents be amended after submission? An applicant for a patent for invention may take the initiative to modify his application for a patent for invention within three months after making a request for substantive examination or sending a notice in China National Intellectual Property Administration that the application for a patent for invention has entered the substantive examination stage. An applicant for a patent for utility model or design may modify the application documents within two months from the date of patent application. The modification of the application documents for a patent for invention and utility model shall not exceed the scope recorded in the original specification and claims, and the modification of the application documents for a patent for design shall not exceed the scope shown in the original picture or photograph.
