Yongjia Detention Center can receive interviews within a few days after the verdict1. The Detailed Implementation Rules of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the National Detention Center Regulations stipulates: Article 35: Interviews with prisoners shall not occur more than once a month, and each visit shall not exceed half an hour. Each visit shall not exceed three close relatives. Article 39 The defender is entrusted by the person under supervision or appointed by the people's court. After the person under supervision receives a copy of the indictment, the defender may meet with the person under supervision and communicate with him or her. When a lawyer meets with a criminal in custody, he or she must hold a work permit from a law firm (or legal advisory office) and a special letter of introduction in a fixed format; other defenders who request to meet with a criminal in custody must hold a special letter of introduction from the People's Court. Lawyers and other defenders authorized by the People's Court must meet with detainees at the detention center. Detention centers should provide convenience for interviews and provide safety protection. After the interview, the criminal shall be handed over to the custody of the police on duty. According to case handling practice, family members of criminal suspects are not allowed to meet with them before being arraigned. Generally, only the lawyer handling the case can be interviewed.
