At the meeting, we were fortunate to meet Li Yongming, a famous acupuncture expert from the United States. Through exchanges, we learned about domestic health law textbooks and related health legislation books. When introducing foreign legislation on traditional Chinese medicine, Australia’s "Victoria Chinese Medicine" is generally considered The Medical Registration Act marks the first time that traditional Chinese medicine has been legally recognized in the Western world, but in fact, the first traditional Chinese medicine bill was born in Nevada in the United States in 1973. On April 19, 1973, Nevada Governor Mike O’Callaghan officially signed the first Chinese Medicine Act in the United States. This act recognizes Chinese medicine as a "professional profession", 27 years before the Victorian Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Registration Act passed by the Victorian Parliament in 2000 (as amended in this textbook). The basic framework and outline of this textbook were proposed by Zhao Min and Zhang Jing. Wang Anfu, Zhao Min and Zhang Jing conducted the preliminary review and put forward revision opinions. After many revisions, the manuscript was completed, and was later compiled and finalized by Zhang Jing. In the process of compiling this textbook, the author referred to and cited many domestic and foreign colleagues' health law treatises. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the authors of the referenced treatises and Dr. Li Yongming who provided us with valuable information. Special thanks go to Mr. Luo Jian, the editor in charge of this textbook. He spent a lot of valuable time to improve the rigorous language expression and quality of this textbook, and gave us good suggestions and opinions. Although we strive for excellence and try our best, whether this book can become a good teaching material remains to be tested by readers. Of course, due to limited abilities, there are bound to be deficiencies in the book. We hope that readers will give us their advice so that we can revise and improve it in the future.
