(6) Guide and supervise the city’s fire protection work.
(7) Guide, supervise and organize the implementation of the city's public security organs in maintaining road traffic safety, traffic order and the management of motor vehicles and drivers.
(8) Guide, supervise and organize the implementation of public security and information network security supervision work of the city’s public security organs.
(9) Guide and supervise the city’s public security organs to carry out penalty execution, supervision and inspection in accordance with the law; guide and supervise the county (city) and district public security organs’ management of supervision places; manage municipal detention centers and administrative detentions and residential and educational centers (compulsory drug rehabilitation centers).
(10) Guide, supervise and be responsible for the approval of the city’s detention and reeducation through labor; undertake the daily work of the municipal government’s labor reeducation committee.
(11) Research and understand the situation of drug crimes in the city, organize and guide the city's public security organs to investigate drug crime cases; undertake the daily work of the Municipal Anti-Narcotics Committee.
(12) Guide, organize and implement the city's security guards' security work for security objects.
(13) Organize and implement the city’s public security science and technology work, and plan the construction of public security informatization, criminal technology and action technology.
(14) Formulate and organize the implementation of police support standards and systems for the city’s public security organs’ equipment, clothing and funding.
(15) Lead the construction of the city’s public security firefighting force, and lead the armed police force’s execution of public security tasks and related business construction.
(16) Formulate training and education plans for the city’s public security personnel, and be responsible for the training and education of the city’s public security teams.
(17) Formulate and organize the implementation of regulations on the supervision and management of the city's public security teams, be responsible for the supervision of the city's public security teams; implement supervision of cadres in accordance with the prescribed authority; assist the discipline inspection and supervision departments in investigating or supervising major violations of the public security teams Disciplinary cases.
(18) Guide the city’s forest police work.
(19) Undertake other matters assigned by the municipal party committee and municipal government.
