Article 9 To serve as a judge, one must meet the following conditions:

(1) Have the nationality of the People's Republic of China;

(2) Be at least 10 years old Twenty-three years old;

(3) Abide by the Constitution of the People's Republic of China;

(4) Have good political and professional qualities and conduct;

(5) ) Good health;

(6) Graduated from a college with a bachelor's degree in law or a college with a bachelor's degree in a non-law major, with professional legal knowledge, and has been engaged in legal work for at least two years, including serving in the Higher People's Court or the Supreme People's Court. A judge of the People's Court must have engaged in legal work for three years or more; have obtained a master's degree in law or a doctorate in law or a non-law master's or doctorate degree with professional legal knowledge, and has engaged in legal work for at least one year, including serving as a judge of the Higher People's Court and the Supreme People's Court. , engaged in legal work for more than 2 years.

Judges who do not meet the conditions specified in item 6 of the preceding paragraph before the implementation of this law shall receive training. The specific measures shall be formulated by the Supreme People's Court.

If it is difficult to apply the academic qualifications specified in Item 6 of Paragraph 1, upon review and determination by the Supreme People's Court, the academic qualifications for serving as a judge may be relaxed to graduate from a law major in a college within a certain period of time.

Article 10 The following persons are not allowed to serve as judges:

(1) Those who have been criminally punished for crimes;

(2) Those who have been dismissed from public office.

Article 12 Strict assessment methods shall be adopted for first-time judges, and candidates shall be selected from those who have passed the national unified judicial examination and obtained the qualifications of judges according to the standard of having both ability and political integrity.
