What does a barrister in Hong Kong mean?

After ten years of experience, litigators have the opportunity to be appointed as senior barristers by the Chief Justice of the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal, and their status in Hong Kong is equivalent to that of Queen's Counsel before the transfer of sovereignty. All Hong Kong barristers admitted as Queen's Counsel before the transfer of sovereignty will automatically qualify as Hong Kong Senior Barristers after the transfer of sovereignty.
