1. Can I get a reduced sentence if I go to jail with a disability certificate?
Prisoners with disability certificates cannot reduce their sentences, and only when the following conditions are met can they reduce their sentences:

(3) If a criminal whose execution is suspended is restricted by the people's court in accordance with the provisions of the second paragraph of Article 50 of this Law, his sentence shall be commuted to life imprisonment and to fixed-term imprisonment of 25 years, but less than 20 years.
2. Is it possible to reduce the sentence by the court?
1. Being sentenced to death by the court may not necessarily reduce the sentence.
(1) If the death sentence is executed immediately after being sentenced to death, the execution cannot be suspended; if the death sentence is suspended, the sentence may be reduced.
(2) If the death penalty is suspended and there is no intentional crime during the suspended execution, it will be reduced to life imprisonment after the expiration of two years; If there is indeed a significant meritorious service, after the expiration of two years, it will be reduced to 25 years in prison; If the crime is intentional and the circumstances are bad, the death penalty shall be executed after being reported to the Supreme People's Court for approval; If the death penalty is not executed due to intentional crime, the suspended execution period of death penalty shall be recalculated and reported to the Supreme People's Court for the record.
(3) The people's court may, according to the circumstances of the crime, at the same time decide to limit and reduce the punishment for recidivists and criminals who have been sentenced to a suspended death sentence for intentional homicide, rape, robbery, kidnapping, arson, explosion, or organized violent crimes.
