Article 8 of the "Teachers Law of the People's Republic of China" shall fulfill the following obligations:

(6) Continuously improve ideological and political awareness and education and teaching levels.

Article 37 If a teacher falls into any of the following circumstances, he or she shall be subject to administrative sanctions or dismissal by the school where he/she works, other educational institutions or the education administrative department.

(1) Deliberately failing to complete educational and teaching tasks, causing losses to education and teaching;

(2) Corporally punishing students, which is ineffective after education;

( 3) Those with bad conduct, insulting students, and having a bad influence.

If a teacher commits one of the circumstances listed in items (2) and (3) of the preceding paragraph, and the circumstances are serious enough to constitute a crime, he shall be held criminally responsible in accordance with the law.
