Chen Shifeng, the ex-boyfriend of Liu Xin (now Liu Nuanxi), the other party in this case, was arrested by Japanese police after killing Jiang Ge. The local court sentenced Chen Shifeng to 20 years' imprisonment, and Liu Xin was not investigated for legal responsibility.
Before the trial, Huang Leping, the plaintiff's attorney, said that although Chen Shifeng did it, it was Liu Xin who eventually led to Jiang Ge's death.
Due to the controversy between the two sides, the case will be pronounced on an elective basis.

On 20 18, Jiang Qiulian posted a message on her personal platform, saying that she would take legal action against Liu Xin.
In 2020, the case held two pre-trial meetings. At the second meeting, Jiang Qiulian proposed to claim more than 2 million yuan from the other party.
According to the indictment, there are four main reasons why Jiang Qiulian sued Liu Xin.
First of all, Jiang Qiulian thinks that Liu Xin prevented Jiangge from calling the police, which led to Chen Shifeng not being taken compulsory measures by the Japanese police at the first time. Not only that, she knew that Chen Shifeng was violent, but she didn't remind Jiangge. Let her go home with herself, and lock the door when Jiangge is in danger, blocking her only way out.
It is also mentioned in the indictment that Liu Xin did not take any rescue measures while knowing that Jiangge was in distress, and eventually the other party bled to death. Her behavior is directly related to Jiang Ge's death.
The defendant's lawyer once said in court that Liu Xin had called the police three times before the incident, which was not what the other party said. Liu Xin once revealed to Jiang Ge that Chen Shifeng might make extreme behavior, which just proves that the defendant made a kind reminder to the other party.

A few days before the trial of this case, lawyer Huang Leping published six focuses of the plaintiff's case on his personal platform: why did Jiang Ge go home with Liu Xin at the subway station on the night of the crime; Whether to go upstairs together when you get home; Whether the room door was locked at the time of the incident; Does Liu Xin know that Jiangge was killed? Does Liu Xin know that people were killed by Chen Shifeng? Did Liu Xin take the initiative to identify Chen Shifeng to the police after the incident? Liu Xin has made various explanations on the above issues, and the plaintiff thinks that Liu Xin has an unshirkable responsibility for Jiangge's death.
The defendant's lawyer said that Liu Xin was not at fault and should not be held responsible. Chen Shifeng's behavior led to Jiangge's death and he should bear the tort liability.

Lawyer Huang Leping counted seven different opinions about whether the door was locked at that time, and if so, who locked the door.
On the day of the incident, Liu Xin called the police twice, but there were some discrepancies between the statements before and after.
In the telephone recording provided by Huang Leping's lawyer, Liu Xin told the police that the door had been locked when she first called the police. She is in the house, but her sister is in danger.
In the recording of the second alarm call, Liu Xin made it clear that he was in the house. Jiangge closed the door outside to protect her and didn't come in.
In the court transcript, Liu Xin said that the entrance door was closed at the time of the crime, but it was not locked. Later, Liu Xin said in court that he couldn't remember clearly, and he didn't know whether the door was locked from the outside.

In this regard, Liu Xin's attorney said during the trial that Liu Xin's account of the Japanese police was objective and true. After reporting the case, the police told her to lock the door and not to go out. Her actions were all done according to the instructions of the police. The plaintiff has no evidence to prove that Chen Shifeng had the motive and premeditation to kill, nor can he prove that Liu Xin locked the door.
