The film tells the story of Lin Liangshui, a lawyer played by Wong Tze Wah, who launched a battle to defend the dignity of the law to protect the single mother who was deeply involved in the unjust case of abusing women.
The whole film takes a case as the main line, tangled with the class differences of characters, the measurement of interests, and the thinking of initial dreams and legal justice.
Then it tells how Lin Liangshui tried his best to appeal to the parties to reverse the case, and gradually uncovered the truth of the case in the process, thus pushing the film to a climax.
