From the early 1990s to the beginning of this century, Wo was sent by Taiwan Province spy organizations to and from the mainland to collect information, and occasionally succeeded, including obtaining some night fighting equipment of the People's Liberation Army and reporting the members to be developed to Taiwan Province spy organizations.
In the early 1990s, Han Wei met Guo Wanjun, an expert in mainland missile technology, and bought him off with money. Guo Wanjun participated in the design of a certain strategic missile. It is precisely because of this information that a deputy director of Taiwan Military Intelligence Bureau also specially met with Walter Han Wei in a European parliament. The director told Walter that his information was highly valued by the United States. Han Wei, Guo Wanjun and I were arrested and brought to justice by the state security organs in early 2005. It was found by the court that Guo Wanjun provided seven top secret information about strategic missiles to Han Wei, which caused great harm to national security and national defense construction, and the consequences were particularly serious.
During the whole investigation process, including the pre-trial of state security organs, the trial of procuratorial organs and people's courts, the judicial organs acted in strict accordance with the law. The defendant and the law enjoy various rights, including hiring a lawyer to defend himself.
After a period of trial, on the basis of repeatedly verifying the evidence, on May 24th, 2007, the Beijing No.2 Intermediate People's Court pronounced a verdict on the espionage case of Wo. Wo violated the relevant provisions of the Criminal Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Criminal Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), and the criminal facts were clear and the evidence was conclusive.
The court investigated his criminal responsibility for espionage and sentenced Walter Han Wei to death. Guo Wanjun violated the relevant provisions of the Criminal Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), was investigated for criminal responsibility for the crime of illegally providing state secrets abroad, and was sentenced to death. Because it involves state secrets, according to the laws of our country, the court does not hear the espionage case in public, nor does it hear the espionage case in public, but they all make public judgments according to law.
After the death penalty was pronounced in the first instance, the two refused to accept it and appealed according to law. On June 29, 2008, 65438, the Beijing Higher People's Court made a final judgment in the second instance and upheld the original judgment of the first instance. With the approval of the Supreme People's Court, Wohe was executed on 28 October 2008/KLOC-0. On the day before the execution, Wo Hanwei met with his wife and little daughter and exercised the right of visiting according to law.
