Liupanshui, also known as Du Liang, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guizhou Province. It is located in Wumeng Mountain in western Guizhou, at the junction of Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the Pearl River, and on both sides of the Nanpanjiang and Beipanjiang river basins. It is one of the important railway hub cities and logistics distribution centers in southwest China.
Liupanshui has a cool, comfortable, humid and fresh climate with moderate ultraviolet radiation. Awarded the title of "Du Liang, China" by China Meteorological Society, China is a city named after its climate characteristics. Liupanshui has a long history, and the Spring and Autumn Period was the national territory. During the Warring States period, the city was the territory of Yelang State. After the Qin Dynasty unified China, it belonged to Hanyang County and Ba County.
