Excuse me, is the informatization construction of insurance companies outsourced or independently developed?

IT technology is increasingly becoming the basic industry of the whole national economy, which is more prominent in the insurance industry. This problem should trouble the decision makers of many insurance companies. In the division of labor among the front, middle and back offices of financial enterprises, they belong to the back office and are always quantifiable inputs rather than quantifiable outputs. Although the number or frequency of services provided by IT can be measured, IT is often difficult to get a fair pricing for the service price, that is to say, the value of IT services is difficult to be intuitively displayed in the eyes of bosses, so many enterprises often think that IT departments are only cost centers, which is why IT departments usually have a low position in financial enterprises. At this point, Ping An IT, as a deep charge of the entire insurance industry, has started to complete internal accounting with professional companies within Ping An Group, sort out the entire IT service catalogue, complete service pricing, sign IT service agreements with various professional subsidiaries, and charge by service level. It is a good attempt, and the boss can finally know whether it is a profit or a loss for the company. Of course, no matter losing money or making money, it is always indispensable, so how to choose the information mode of the insurance industry? The author believes that we can't generalize, but change with time because of needs. Informatization mode: It is a big topic to talk about the informatization of insurance companies. Let's start with EA(Enterprise Architecture). Chinese is usually translated into enterprise architecture and overall informatization architecture, and then start with data architecture, application architecture and technology architecture. But today, we don't refund, let's have some dry goods. Because the topic is very big, I still want to find a breakthrough. I don't talk about business continuity or robustness, so I take an insurance core system as the starting point. It is generally believed that in the choice of supporting systems, if there are mature products on the market, you may wish to buy them. We need to be very careful in the choice of core business systems. First, take the life insurance company as an example. In addition to independent development such as Ping An and Sunshine (Sunshine is a rising star, which is more interesting), foreign companies that provide related products in the market include CITIC Jiantou, and domestic companies such as ChinaSoft, Yibao and Neusoft. Their products can usually solve the basic problems of insurance business, such as products, new contract management, underwriting, underwriting, compensation and so on. However, it is usually not flexible enough. Take CSC's life/Asia as an example, the service is expensive and the maintenance can't keep up. Insurance companies that join its system in China are like thieves. How to deal with the ever-changing market, products and management ideas? And people like ChinaSoft can often respond to demand, but the timeliness is not enough. At the same time, they lack unified planning of software products, good architecture design and extremely bad code. Generally speaking, due to the talent level and corporate governance, they only provide a set of cheap solutions that can be used but can be tolerated. Faced with this situation, what should we do? In my opinion, how much money can be done. At present, the pattern of three pillars in the insurance industry has basically taken shape, and it is still difficult for other small insurance companies to break through. However, with the development of China's economy, the insurance industry is still a sunrise industry, and with the further promotion of insurance depth, it is still possible to create large insurance companies. Small and medium-sized insurance companies may wish to adopt the solutions of domestic manufacturers. In the case that the business has not reached a certain scale and the service capability of the information system has not yet become a challenge, that is, the IT background has not yet formed a bottleneck for business development, domestic manufacturers can still effectively help reduce costs. For medium and large insurance companies, it may be necessary to make a choice. I think CSC, which does not meet the domestic market situation, should resolutely give up. The author believes that at some point, large and medium-sized insurance companies will transition to independent development, and there have been signs in practice, such as Taibao, and the core system is also independently developed. Of course, unlike Ping An's completely independent development model, it is also a good attempt for CPIC to be independent and combine outsourcing power. However, why develop independently? In my work experience, this is the result of business promotion. At present, many insurance companies are concentrated in the background, and what they really do is safety. The concentration of the background has brought great challenges to it. In the past, the systems used independently by various branches suddenly concentrated, and the data volume and transaction volume increased by dozens of times. In addition, the transformation of business model or management model will also bring IT challenges.
