What is a career planning contest?

The National College Students' Career Planning Competition is a large-scale competition directed by the Ministry of Education and sponsored by the National College Students' Information Consultation and Employment Guidance Center. It is the most extensive and influential college student activity at present.

The national college students' career planning competition held by the Ministry of Education from September 2023 to May 2024. Colleges and universities are responsible for organizing school competitions for participating teams, and provincial competitions are organized by local governments.

Introduction to the competition:

In order to effectively implement the general arrangements and requirements of "establishing and improving the employment service system for college graduates" and "strengthening employment and entrepreneurship education and employment guidance services" put forward by General Secretary Hu Jintao at the National Education Work Conference, popularize the knowledge of college students' career planning, guide the majority of students to establish a correct concept of success and employment, scientifically and rationally plan their study life, and improve their employment skills and practical ability,

Since 2009, under the guidance of the College Students Department of the Ministry of Education, the National College Students' Information Consulting and Employment Guidance Center has regularly held the "National College Students' Career Planning Competition" and the "Second Career Planning Competition". The contest is divided into three parts: preliminary, semi-final and final. After layers of screening in the form of group promotion, the employer finally recommends excellent players for employment.

Characteristics of career planning:

(1) Persistence, or development. Career goal is an important goal pursued by life, and career planning should run through every stage of life development, and finally realize career goal through constant adjustment and arrangement of career activities.

(2) uniqueness, that is, difference. Everyone has different personalities and levels, and everyone is an independent individual in society. Career planning is also based on our own conditions, so don't follow suit.

(3) Feasibility, career planning must be based on the actual situation of the individual and the reality of the environment, not just a plan, some irrelevant fantasies. The plan we make must be practical.

(4) timeliness, or stage. Career planning is a prediction of future career goals and future career actions. Therefore, the implementation and completion time of various activities should be arranged in time and order, so as to serve as the basis for inspection actions.

(5) flexibility. Planning future career goals and actions involves many uncertainties. So planning should be flexible. With the changes of external environment and own conditions, individuals should adjust their career planning plans in time to increase their adaptability.

(6) Sociality. When making career planning, we must consider social conditions. The times are constantly developing and changing, and at the same time, there are many new occupations, which also put forward different requirements for occupations. Therefore, when designing our own career plan, we must analyze the social needs and choose the world.
