In the reception of the first visit, the job of the psychological counselor is not to solve the troubles of the help seekers, but to provide a space for the help seekers to release their depression, so that the help seekers can communicate freely in the psychological consultation room and confide any desires and conflicts confidently, thus helping the help seekers have the opportunity to deeply perceive themselves and accompany the help seekers to discuss their problems and troubles.
Main tasks:
1. Introduce the setting and requirements of psychological counseling, explain the principle of confidentiality, explain the nature of psychological counseling, and let visitors know what is formal psychological counseling, what problems are the scope of psychological counseling, and what problems cannot be solved.
2. Talk to collect information. This information includes demographic data, reasons for seeking help, family, work, interpersonal relationship, early memory, entertainment, health and physical condition.
3. Psychometric evaluation. Psychological measurement is also one of the evaluation work, mainly through questionnaires to understand the actual situation of visitors, objectively and accurately sort out information, combined with interviews to better evaluate in place. This job is not dispensable. Some problems are minor, so psychological measurement is not needed. Only serious problems can be used.
