Bureau of Industry and Information Technology 20 10 China was renamed the Bureau of Industry and Information Technology after institutional reform, formerly known as the Economic and Trade Commission, with the Economic Operation Department and other institutions under it. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology retains the brand names of the National Space Administration and the National Atomic Energy Agency, participates in international intergovernmental organizations and related activities such as the International Space Organization and the International Atomic Energy Agency on behalf of the country, and performs related duties.
