Type of work in China:
Foreign experts invited to China to engage in management, technology, scientific research, teaching, guidance, consulting and other work, and staying for no more than 90 days (inclusive), should apply to the local Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs for an invitation letter to China through the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange of Chongqing University. Foreign visa authorities shall handle F-shaped visas for foreign experts who stay in China for no more than 90 days (inclusive) with the Invitation Letter for Foreign Experts to China.
The applicant for short-term invitation of foreign experts to China should be: 1. Have a clear work task in Chongqing; 2. Have a detailed schedule of Chongqing activities; 3. There is sufficient cost guarantee. Eligible applicants, the reception unit should sign a short-term employment contract with them, and go through the relevant formalities through the foreign affairs department with their valid passports and other relevant materials.
Foreigners invited to China for short-term visit, exchange and inspection can apply for F-visa with the invitation letter issued by the authorized unit in foreign visa authorities, and the stay time shall not exceed 90 days (inclusive). Units that do not have the qualification to issue invitations from authorized units may consult their foreign affairs management departments and overseas Chinese affairs offices.
Foreign experts who stay in China for more than 90 days are regarded as jobs, and must go through visa and residence formalities in accordance with the Regulations on Foreign Experts Working in China.
"integration of two certificates"
After the integration of the two certificates on April 1 2007, the Permit for Foreign Experts to Work in China, the Employment Certificate for Foreigners, the Certificate for Foreign Experts and the Employment Certificate for Foreigners within the current validity period remain valid. After the expiration of the validity period, apply for a new certificate in the "foreigner's work management service system in China" as required. The original foreign expert certificate and foreign employment certificate are unified into a foreigner's work permit, and one person and one yard will remain unchanged for life. By then, the application materials will be simplified, and there is no need to submit the company application letter, license stub, resume in Chinese and foreign languages, etc. And the amount of materials will be reduced by nearly half. To apply for the Notice of Permit for Foreigners to Work Abroad, you need to submit an application form, proof of work experience, proof of the highest degree (education) certified by the embassy or consulate, proof that the applicant has no criminal record (commitment system is adopted for foreign high-end talents), physical examination certificate, employment contract or employment certificate, and other relevant materials that meet the conditions for the recognition of foreign high-end talents.

Change of residence permit
After obtaining a legal visa, you should go to the local police station for temporary accommodation registration within 24 hours; The reception unit will assist in handling the change of residence permit. The required materials include: valid personal passport, original and photocopy of Z visa, work permit for foreign experts in China, physical examination report, photos, digital photo collection receipt, temporary accommodation registration form, valid copy of medical insurance, etc.
