Article 1 In order to standardize the handling of legal aid matters and ensure the quality of legal aid services, this service standard is formulated in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Justice, the Guangdong Criminal Legal Aid Service Standard and the Guangdong Civil Legal Aid Service Standard, combined with the actual work in our region. Article 2 This Code is applicable to all kinds of legal aid services assigned or arranged by Baoan District Public Legal Service Center (hereinafter referred to as the Center), such as legal consultation, civil and administrative litigation agency, labor dispute arbitration and other non-litigation legal affairs agency, criminal defense and criminal agency, and legal aid for lawyers on duty. Article 3 The term "legal aid cases" as mentioned in this Code refers to cases in which the Center provides legal aid according to citizens' applications and the notice of defense agency of the case-handling organ. Legal aid personnel refer to those who enter the legal aid roster of Baoan District according to the relevant provisions of the Measures for the Administration of Legal Aid Roster of Baoan District Public Legal Service Center (Trial). The persons who undertake legal aid cases are collectively referred to as the case undertakers. Article 4 Legal aid workers shall adhere to the facts as the basis, take the law as the criterion, abide by professional ethics and practice discipline, provide qualified legal services to the recipients according to law, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the recipients, consciously accept the assignment, guidance and supervision of the center, and report the progress of work and cases to the center according to regulations.
