Rubicon Trail is a path in the north of Sieera Nevada Mountains in California, USA. On this steep "road" less than 100 km long, there are countless huge rocks, which gather almost all the difficult cross-country obstacles in the world. Chrysler took Rubicon as the name of herdsman's top sub-series, which naturally upgraded herdsman's image in people's minds.
It was first exhibited at the Detroit North American International Auto Show in 2002, and sold only to North America and Latin America.
Rubicon in herdsman is characterized by an integrated block of off-road performance, which adds a lot of off-road performance. The performance can only be obtained by purchasing accessories from the original parts market and carrying out high-performance modification.
The 2007 herdsman is equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 engine, with a maximum output horsepower of 202 HP and a maximum output torque of 320 Nm. The fuel consumption of the six-speed manual transmission version of Xinmuren is 13.8 liters per 100 kilometers in cities and 12.4 liters per 100 kilometers in expressways, and the fuel consumption of the four-speed automatic transmission version is 14.7 liters per 100 kilometers in cities and expressways respectively. It is equipped with Dana 44 front axle and rear axle with greater bearing capacity.
The newly designed steering system and suspension system can provide excellent driving comfort after careful adjustment, thanks to the use of new sound insulation materials, the noise is reduced by 20% compared with the old one. The car comes standard with high-pressure single-tube shock absorber and LST low-speed adjustable valve technology to find a perfect balance between excessive rebound and excessive oscillation.
The special circulating ball steering gear for pure off-road vehicles is adopted to provide durable steering system and large steering ratio, and the spiral spring with small elastic coefficient improves the comfort of highway driving. At the same time, it is also equipped with ESP body stability control system. It is worth mentioning that this ESP has three different modes: fully open mode, fully closed mode and partially open mode.
In order to be more suitable for off-road, apart from the difference between the transmission system and the front and rear axles in herdsman, the tires are also very different: ordinary herdsman is equipped with HT-class road tires, while RUBICON directly skips AT-class tires and adopts MT-class tires that are more inclined to off-road. In 2007, all RUBICON models were replaced with 245/75R 16 MT tires from Bailuchi Factory, which not only ensured comprehensive handling, but also reduced road noise.
Trac-Lok differential lock with limited sliding on the rear axle is also optional to help herders pass through sand, gravel and ice and snow roads smoothly.
The new generation Jeep herdsman Trail Rated badge badge has witnessed its powerful off-road performance. Strong low torque, large ground clearance, excellent chassis and steering maneuverability, outstanding wading ability and poor axle height are herders' cross-country tricks.
