Thyroxine can cause serious side effects, including:
1. Thyroid hormone-induced hyperthyroidism:

2. Stroke:
Since thyroxine was first approved for use, there have been reports of central nervous system problems, such as high risk of stroke and weakness of one side of the body in young women. The relationship between taking thyroxine and stroke is not clear. Patients should keep hydrated before using thyroxine.
3. The tumor suddenly increased rapidly:
After operation, the residual thyroid tissue and cancer cells that have spread to other parts of the body will grow rapidly and become painful after using thyroxine. Patients with cancer cells near the trachea, central nervous system or lungs may need to be treated with glucocorticoid, a drug that helps prevent cancer cells from getting bigger before using thyroxine.
4. Risks associated with radioiodine therapy:
