Training objectives: This major trains students to have basic theories, knowledge and skills of psychology, and receive preliminary scientific thinking and experimental training, which can be used in different fields of scientific research departments, educational institutions and other enterprises and institutions (such as but not limited to public management, business administration, economic decision-making, public relations, marketing, advertising planning, business design, public security, military affairs, sports).
Training requirements: Students in this major mainly study the basic theories and knowledge of psychology, receive basic training in experimental research, analytical methods, consultation, understanding and writing professional documents of design psychology, master empirical psychology and related statistics and measurement techniques, and have the basic ability to engage in related research and practical work.
Graduates should have the following knowledge and abilities:
1. Good command of Chinese and English, able to use computer and information technology for document retrieval, data and word processing, with knowledge of humanities and social sciences such as literature, history, philosophy, anthropology, politics, art, law, sociology, economics, management, mathematics, physics, chemistry, life sciences and earth sciences.
2. Grasp the basic theories and knowledge of psychology, the empirical evidence of psychology and related statistics and measurement techniques, the design and analysis methods of psychological experimental research and the methods of consulting, understanding and writing professional documents, understand the development trend and application prospect of psychology, and have preliminary sensitivity and solving ability to specific application problems in the field of practice;
