What is the road in front of Meiling Avenue in Hefei?

Meiling Avenue in Hefei was originally named Huizhou Road.

Meiling Avenue, formerly known as Huizhou Road, is a distinctive road name in Hefei. 1955 On February 9th, Zhang Jiale, then acting mayor of Hefei, issued the notice of Hefei Municipal Government 188, announcing the names of the first batch of 28 important roads, Huizhou Road being one of them. From 1955 to 1994, it has been used for more than 40 years and left a very deep impression on people. Many memories of "old Hefei" retain many beautiful customs about Huizhou Road. Huizhou Road was once divided into three sections, and the southernmost Wuhu Road to Huancheng South Road was once named Huangshan Road. The middle section from Huancheng South Road to the present Changjiang Road was once called "Xiaosun South Street", and the citizens called it "Little Nanmen Street (or Nanmen Street)"; The northern section is from the present Changjiang Road to Huaihe Road, once called "Xiaosu North Street", and the section between Anqing Road and Changjiang Road is also called "Shangjielou Street". 1994, Huizhou Road, which needs to be rebuilt, faces financial difficulties. Under the coordination of relevant departments in Hefei, an agreement was reached with Meiling Company, and Meiling donated money to build Huizhou Road. At the same time, in recognition of the company's courageous behavior and Meiling's contribution to Hefei, the municipal government decided to rename Huizhou Road "Meiling Avenue" for an agreement period of 10 year.
