Article 33 of the General Principles of the Civil Law: An individual partnership may have a shop name, be approved and registered according to law, and engage in business within the approved and registered business scope.
Article 42 of the General Principles of the Civil Law: An enterprise as a legal person shall engage in business within the approved and registered business scope.
Article 49 of the General Principles of the Civil Law: If an enterprise as a legal person has any of the following circumstances, it may impose administrative sanctions and fines on the legal representative in addition to investigating the legal person's liability, and if the case constitutes a crime, it shall be investigated for criminal responsibility according to law:
Article 3 of the Regulations on the Administration of Registration of Business Scope of Enterprises: Business scope refers to the business scope of an enterprise engaged in business activities and registered by the enterprise registration authority according to law. Applicants should refer to the classification of national economic industries, select one or more subcategories, middle categories or large categories, and independently apply for business scope registration. For emerging industries or specific business projects that are not standardized in the national economic industry classification, you can refer to policy documents, industry habits or professional documents to apply. The business scope of an enterprise shall be consistent with its articles of association or partnership agreement. Where the business scope changes, the enterprise shall amend its articles of association or partnership agreement and apply to the enterprise registration authority for registration of change.
