According to historical records, Cao Cha had a daughter who was very beautiful and won the favor of Emperor Jiajing. 1536, Duan Fei was awarded. Three years later, Duan Fei Cao Shi gave birth to Princess Ningan.
"Ming History" records: "In the twenty-first year of Jiajing, maid-in-waiting Yang and others conspired against the emperor. The emperor was saved after lai, but he became my late father Taihe Boruijue. At the beginning, Cao Fei was a colored man, loved by the emperor, and Duan Fei wrote the book. It's night, the palace. Jin Ying and others waited for the emperor to go to bed, and they set up the emperor's neck, which was mistaken for a fast knot. My colleague Governor Zhang Jinlian didn't leave. Late, collapsed, Sudi. Later, Zhang Zuo, the prison supervisor, was ordered to go to the miscellaneous office quickly, saying that Wang Ning was the first one to look for the rebellion. He also said: Cao knows how to plan, although she disagrees with him. When the emperor is ill, he can't speak. Later, the emperor ordered Duan Fei, Ning Ai and Jin Ying to collect gravel from the city. And his family belongs to more than ten people. However, the princess really doesn't know. After a long time, the emperor began to know his grievances. "
"The Biography of Queen Sejong Fang" records: "(End) The princess really doesn't know, it's hard to spoil. After the emperor took the title. In November of the 26th year, the palace caught fire. After the official (eunuch) asked for help, the emperor should not, and then collapsed. "
The story goes like this: Because of Emperor Jiajing's suspicious and violent character, one night in 1542, a shocking thing happened in the Palace Museum: a dozen young ladies-in-waiting were abused by the emperor and tried to strangle him. Because of the momentary panic, the rope formed a dead buckle and could not be tightened again. The emperor was strangled and then recovered. This is the famous "Renyin Palace Change" in the history of the Ming Dynasty, which is a unique event in the history of China.
The Queen Fang was jealous of Cao Shi's love (maybe she sometimes spoke in front of the emperor, so that she offended other concubines). On the second day after the palace change, Duan Fei, Wang Ning's wife and maid-in-waiting were put to death while the emperor was still not fully awake.
Emperor Jiajing had deep feelings for Duan Fei Cao Shi. Duan Fei's wrongful death was a great blow to the spirit of Emperor Jiajing. On the surface, Emperor Jiajing was very nice, but in essence he secretly sent someone to burn her and left a few days later.
Cao Cha returned to Shuofang from Sanming and felt very sad about the wrongful death of his beloved daughter, but it was hard to say. In memory of his daughter, he spent all his money (once appeased by Emperor Jiajing) and carefully built this rare Nanmu Temple in China. Daughter is called a nun in Shuofang dialect, Nanmu is called Numu, and Xiangnan Hall is a metaphor of Xiangnan Hall. Another possibility is to let the daughter "live forever" and "live forever".
Strangely, the main entrance of Xiangnan Guild Hall faces north. There are two bluestone pillars (originally monuments) by the door, which may represent parents (Qing), facing the capital from a distance, quietly and anxiously waiting for the return of their beloved daughter, even if the stones are rotten.
After learning from a painful experience, Cao Cha Jinshi wrote the four characters "Li Rang Family" at the south gate of Xiangnan Guild Hall. "Rite" means "governance norms" and "Family" means: "forbearance" and "humility" should be "family precepts" handed down from generation to generation by Cao family.
