Guangdong Vocational College of Science and Technology is a full-time college approved by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education.
It is a key project construction unit of the national model higher vocational college construction plan, a national modern apprenticeship pilot unit, and a pilot university for the training of skilled talents in the construction industry. It is listed as the third type of high-level professional group construction unit (file B).
The school was founded in 1985, formerly known as Guangdong Science and Technology Cadre College. In 2003, it was transformed into an ordinary university. In 2004, it was recognized by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Construction as a pilot institution for training skilled talents in the construction industry.
20 10 was identified by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance as the key project construction unit of the "National Model Higher Vocational College Construction Plan". 20 15 was selected as the first batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units in China. 20 19- 12 was listed as the third type of high-level professional group construction unit (file B) by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance.
