Why did Google change its name to alphabet?

Alphabet is Google's new parent company.

Nest, Fiber, Calico and Google X together form the alphabet group.

Moreover, the emergence of Alphabet does not mean that Google has disappeared, but many exciting future projects of Google are no longer related to it.

Google is still the Google that most of us are familiar with. Its business will include searching Google search service, Android system, Chrome browser, YouTube and map service. The new businesses Google Photos and Google Now also belong to Google.

Alphabet only allows each project originally integrated into Google to operate independently and develop its own brand.
