The causes of burning oil are oil leakage in the lubrication system, excessive wear and damage of cylinder wall and piston ring, or damage or hardening of valve oil seal. Mainly manifested in the following two points:
Black smoke from the exhaust pipe: indicating that the mixture is too rich and the combustion is incomplete. The main reasons are overload of automobile engine, insufficient cylinder pressure, low engine temperature, improper adjustment of carburetor, blockage of air filter element, failure of individual cylinders and late ignition. When disassembling, check whether the choke valve is fully opened in time and carry out maintenance if necessary; After flameout, look at the main nozzle from the mouth of the oiler. If oil is sprayed or dripped, the oil level in the float chamber is too high, so it should be adjusted to the specified range, and the main metering hole should be tightened or replaced. The air filter is blocked and should be cleaned, dredged or replaced.
Blue smoke from vehicle exhaust pipe: Cause analysis: It is caused by a large amount of engine oil entering the cylinder, but it cannot be completely burned. When the spark plug is removed, serious carbon deposit will be found. Need to check whether the oil level of the dipstick is too high; Whether the gap between cylinder and piston is too large; Whether the piston ring is installed backwards; Whether the intake valve guide tube is worn or the sealing ring is damaged; Whether the cylinder pad is ablated, etc. , should be repaired if necessary.
