Which brand is the best inverter air conditioner?

This is the 170th article of Home Furnishing Specialist

In the hot summer, it is so hot that people will not pay for their lives. Everyone relies on air conditioners to "sustain their lives". For southern areas without heating, air conditioning can also provide warmth in winter.

So without air conditioning, Andy has always been curious about how the ancient people survived.

Air conditioners are a common product in many households, so what knowledge is there about the choice of air conditioners? Today Andy will share~

How to make the air conditioner cold enough

Some people will find that the air conditioner at home is sometimes not very cold. It may be that you have been hit by one of the following points↓ mission → The return air inlet sucks in hot air, and then cools it → The air outlet continues to blow out cold air (continuously circulates until the set temperature is reached)

If the return air space is insufficient, or the air outlet is blocked, such as a ceiling, then The return air outlet can quickly suck in the cold air that has just been blown out, making the body mistakenly think that the indoor temperature has dropped enough and will no longer send out cold air.

(The picture comes from the Internet and has been deleted)

Therefore, enough space should be reserved in front and above the air conditioner. The upper part should be at least 5cm from the ceiling, and the front should be at least 45cm (preferably There is nothing), firstly to ensure the effect of return air, and secondly, to facilitate the removal of the filter for cleaning in the future.

2. It is better to install it on the long side wall

When installing the air conditioner, many decorators will install it where the wall is closest to the outdoor unit and where wiring is convenient. In fact, it needs to be installed on the long side wall (preferably in the middle) to cool down the space in a shorter time and save more electricity.

If installed on the short side, the space can easily become half hot and half cold. This is even more obvious in a long and narrow space.

For example, suppose the set temperature is 27°C. The living room has reached this temperature, but the dining room is still 31°C because the air conditioner cannot feel the hot air from the dining room. It will automatically determine that the indoor temperature has reached 27°C and slow down the operation speed, which will naturally make people feel less cold.

Of course, this is the theory. Other factors must be taken into consideration during installation, such as whether the wind will blow towards people, and whether the required length of copper pipe will exceed the free installation length (generally The hanging machine is 3m, the cabinet machine is 4m), etc.

If the space is small, the air conditioner can still cool it down with some effort, but if it is a large space (especially a long one), you need to think carefully.

3. The closer the indoor unit and the outdoor unit are, the better

The shorter the distance between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit, the fewer turns in the pipeline, and the better the cooling effect will be. Within 3m is best, 5m is also acceptable, and it is best not to exceed 10m.

The pipes that connect the indoor and outdoor units and transport the refrigerant are copper pipes. If the copper pipes are bent, it will easily cause the air conditioner to not be cold. If the bend of the copper pipe is not serious, you can ask a professional company to repair it. If it cannot be repaired, it can only be replaced.

4. The cooling space of the outdoor unit should be sufficient

(The picture is from the Internet, deleted due to infringement)

In addition to the above and front of the indoor unit, a certain amount of space needs to be reserved. In addition to the space, the outdoor unit should also have space for heat dissipation.

It is best to keep it at least 50cm away from the wall, because if the heat dissipation and ventilation are poor, the efficiency of the compressor will become lower when the air conditioner is running, affecting the cooling effect and increasing the power consumption.

5. Choose the right number of units

The number of air-conditioning units indicates the cooling capacity, which is generally considered from the aspects of floor height, room size, orientation, and floor.

* If it is a family with western exposure or on the top floor, it is best to add 0.5 to 1 horse. (The picture above is for reference only)

Household air conditioners are mainly divided into hanging units and cabinet units. Generally, those with 1.5 HP and below use hanging units, and those with more than 2 HP use cabinet units.

About fixed frequency and variable frequency

Inverter air conditioners add a frequency converter that can be used to adjust the operating speed of the compressor on the basis of fixed frequency air conditioners, thereby increasing the cooling capacity or system performance of the air conditioner. The heat is variable, the temperature control is more precise and the noise is smaller.

Therefore, the price and maintenance costs of variable frequency air conditioners will be higher than those of fixed frequency air conditioners.

In addition, some businesses attract consumers with the gimmick that variable frequency is more energy-saving than fixed frequency. However, Andy would like to say that this is not necessarily the case and it depends on the specific situation.

When the inverter air conditioner first starts operating, because the indoor temperature has not reached the set value, it will run at maximum power (this process also consumes a lot of power). After reaching the set value, the operating speed will be reduced. Therefore, the power consumption has a high value and a low value;

A fixed-frequency compressor will turn off the compressor after reaching the set temperature, and the power consumption at this time will be lower than that of a variable frequency compressor.

Only when the set temperature is not much different from the indoor temperature and the use time is more than 6 hours, the inverter air conditioner can achieve the effect of energy saving.

ps: Since the compressor of a fixed-frequency air conditioner will generate a large instantaneous current when starting/stopping, frequent starting and stopping will cause certain damage to the life of the compressor.

Central air conditioners and ordinary air conditioners

Let’s first look at the comparison between the two↓↓↓

As for which one to buy, Andy’s suggestions are:

Families with small rooms and a small number of residents, or those who do not plan to install suspended ceilings and have a small budget (to install 1-4 air conditioners) can consider the installation layout of split unit + cabinet unit;

On the contrary , families with large space, a large number of rooms or that pay more attention to decoration can consider central air conditioning, which is more cost-effective.

Other points to note

1. If you want to distribute the cold air indoors more evenly and cool down faster, an electric fan is definitely a good helper.

2. Again, it is best not to blow the air conditioner directly on people, as this may easily cause migraines or rheumatism.

3. After the air conditioner is installed, test it first to see if there is any refrigerant leakage or it is not cold enough. If there is a problem at this time, it will be more convenient to repair.

4. If the air conditioner is installed on a light steel wall, an 18mm multi-layer board should be added behind the hanging. Because the sealing boards on both sides of the light steel wall are mostly gypsum boards and the bearing capacity is not enough, the air conditioner may fall. Come down.
