How to water succulent plants (share a succulent potted watering tutorial)

What is the soaking method of succulents? Soaking pots is a way to water potted flowers. This method is to put potted flowers in a tray filled with water or a shallow pot without holes, and let the water slowly penetrate into the pot from bottom to top until the topsoil on the surface of the pot is wet. In general, under normal maintenance, it takes only 10~ 15 seconds for the sowing pot to be immersed in half of the water, so don't take it out after you see that there is water in the top soil. The looser and more breathable the soil is, the less time it can take, because the siphon effect is strong. The advantage of this watering method is that it can ensure that the upper part of the soil is relatively dry than the lower part, and it is not easy to rot the roots. It can also prevent the "skinning" phenomenon after the surface is too wet and too dry. In the sowing stage, it can be soaked until the soil surface is wet and then taken out.

Some flower friends spent too long in the basin, the soil was too wet, and the meat turned into water, causing many casualties, which made flower friends say that this method is no longer needed. When we prepare a large pot of water to soak the pot, as the water in the pot is absorbed by the flowerpot soil, the height of the water surface gradually decreases. Then the same flowerpot needs to be soaked for a longer time to absorb as much water as the previous flowerpot. If the previous soaked flowerpot contains black rot fungi, it is easy to infect the meat at the back.

Some flowerpots are more suitable for soaking pots, some ceramic flowerpots have smaller bottom holes, and some have larger bottom holes, so the speed of water infiltration into flowerpots is different. In addition, there is a big gap between those ceramic flowerpots with thick pot bottoms and those with thin pot bottoms. Thick flowerpots may not soak in shallow water at all, while small flowerpots with thin bottoms may soak in water for the same soaking time, resulting in too wet soil.

Another problem that flower lovers can't ignore is the soil, which has good air permeability and water permeability. Whether it absorbs water or absorbs more water, it can flow out quickly. But as far as I know, some flower lovers have mixed their own garden soil and some cinders in their soil. This kind of soil has good water retention, and it is likely that it can't be discharged because it absorbs a lot, so it will accumulate water.

Peat soil absorbs water slowly, and the bottom moisture is not easy to increase rapidly in a short time. The moisture in granular soil can quickly spread to the whole flowerpot. If not all flowerpots use the same soil, it is troublesome to arrange different soaking environments and times for different soil materials.

The bottom of the succulent plant flowerpot is dry before soaking, not to mention whether it is wet after soaking, unless you soak the flowerpot thoroughly, but it is too wet. Therefore, making pot is an expert's patent. For beginners, soaking pots is much more difficult than watering. Flower friends must be treated differently according to their own actual situation, because the experience of flower friends must be 100% suitable for them, and they should be digested and cannot be completely imitated.
