Selection of gate position of injection mold

Putting the gate in the thickest place of the product and pouring from the thickest place can provide better filling and pressure keeping effect. If the pressure is insufficient, the thinner area will solidify faster than the thicker area, so avoid placing the gate at the sudden change of thickness to avoid lag or short shot.

2. If possible, pouring from the product center and placing the gate in the product center can provide the same flow length, and the flow length will affect the required injection pressure. Center pouring will make the holding pressure uniform in all directions and avoid uneven volume shrinkage.

3. Gate: The gate is a short slot with a small cross-sectional area, which is used to connect the runner and the mold cavity. The cross-sectional area should be small to achieve the following effects:

1) Shortly after injection into the mold cavity, the gate was cold-bonded.

2) The water outlet is simple.

3) After the water outlet is completed, only a few traces are left.

4) The filling of multiple mold cavities is easier to control.

5) Reduce the phenomenon of excessive fillers.
