1. The shape of the characters is flat and square and spreads out to the left and right
The official script is vertical in contrast to the seal script. Instead of the normal state, the strokes are taken horizontally (left and right), resulting in a flat square shape. The strokes shrink the vertical strokes and strengthen the horizontal expansion.
2. Start the pen with silkworm head and close the pen with swallowtail
This is a typical feature of the pen used in official script. In particular, the main strokes of horizontal and vertical strokes in official script are almost all made with this method.
