The School of Chemical Engineering was founded in 1958 and is one of the earliest departments in our school. After more than sixty years of construction and development, it has cultivated a large number of outstanding scientific, engineering and management talents for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries in my country, especially in Shandong Province. The college has three undergraduate majors: Chemical Engineering and Technology, Pharmaceutical Engineering, and Pharmaceutical Preparation. Among them, chemical engineering and technology is a national brand and characteristic major and a national-level "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program" pilot major. It has ranked first in Shandong Province for five consecutive years. It passed the China Engineering Education Professional Certification in 2013 and was selected as a national first-class undergraduate major in 2019. ;Pharmaceutical engineering is a provincial brand and characteristic major. It passed the China Engineering Education Professional Certification in 2018 and was selected as a national first-class undergraduate major in 2019. In the "2016 Chinese University and Discipline Major Evaluation Report", the college ranked 12th among national chemical engineering and pharmaceutical universities.
The college has first-level doctoral programs in chemical engineering and technology (including six second-level doctoral programs in chemical engineering, chemical technology, industrial catalysis, applied chemistry, biochemical engineering, and pharmaceutical engineering), chemical engineering and technology Postdoctoral mobile station and first-level master's degree program in pharmacy.
