Acquiring relevant information shows that Xicheng Yaju is not legally recognized as an illegal building. Xicheng Yaju is a group of commercial and residential buildings located on the west side of Taiping Bridge, Financial Street, Xicheng District, Beijing. Its construction lasted 11 years, and during this period, it was accused of illegal construction many times. However, Xicheng Yaju is currently not legally recognized as an illegal building. The following is an introduction to some relevant situations: In 2018, the Beijing Municipal Planning and Land Commission issued an announcement stating that Xicheng Yaju’s violations focused on failing to construct according to the planning approval plan, changing the nature of the construction land without authorization, and changing the construction permit in violation of regulations. The Planning Commission decided to order the project to stop for rectification and demolish illegal construction within a time limit. In April 2021, the Xicheng District Financial Street Sub-district Office in Beijing issued a notice stating that it had enforced the rectification requirements for Xicheng Yaju’s shutdown period and rectified existing related problems. As of September 2021, the Xicheng District Financial Street Sub-district Office in Beijing stated in a response to the media that the rectification work of Xicheng Yaju is proceeding in an orderly manner, and various rectification requirements are being gradually implemented. Therefore, it can be said that Xicheng Yaju had violations during the construction process, but it is currently not legally recognized as an illegal building, and relevant departments are making rectifications.
