Waterproof Coatings It can be divided into many types according to its use. My graduation thesis mainly studies the most widely used architectural waterproof coatings.
Architectural waterproof coatings are made of synthetic polymer materials, asphalt, polymer-modified asphalt, and inorganic materials. It is made by mixing appropriate amounts of additives, modified materials, filling materials, etc. into the main body. Compared with waterproof membranes, waterproof coatings are simple and convenient to construct, are suitable for base surfaces of any shape, and can form a dense and seamless coating. Membrane, therefore, waterproof coatings have been widely used in various waterproofing projects and have achieved rapid development. The research on this topic is mainly divided into three stages.
1.1 Research on new waterproofing requires preliminary preparations :
(1) Understand the current research status and development prospects of waterproof coatings at home and abroad.
(2) Understand the application status of waterproof coatings in buildings in my country and the shortcomings compared with foreign countries. .
(3) Further relevant research on waterproof coatings at home and abroad.

(5) Problems that still need to be solved in the application of waterproof coatings.

2. Background information
2.1 Concept of building waterproof coating

6. Summary
Although we are in the Department of Chemistry, we are still far away from waterproof coatings in the chemical industry. The choice of this topic comes from one of my own life experiences. During the internship It happened that the school was painting, and the smell of the paint was unbearable to my classmates. The paint was a waterproof coating for steel. At that time, I wondered if there could be an environmentally friendly paint to replace it. There would be no such unbearable smell. Later, when I was choosing a topic When I saw this topic, I chose it without hesitation. After contacting the tutor, I realized that this topic is not very simple and requires good professional knowledge and research spirit. But I can say that I know nothing about this topic, and this is one of them. Even the simplest ingredients are not clear. After studying the course of chemical retrieval and mutual retrieval of major databases, I learned about the relevant knowledge of building waterproof coatings, preparation methods and formulas, some related coating production locations, and also learned about the current foreign products. Some related research in this area has been done in China, which aroused my interest in this topic. Although I am still an outsider, I believe that interest is the first step to success. In the future, I will make better use of information retrieval as a tool and complete it successfully. This topic.
But I still feel inadequate in some areas. Like many students, that is foreign language retrieval. I am unfamiliar with some English words in this major. This is also an area that I need to improve. I need to be more familiar with related topics. English words, Chinese and English interoperability.
7. Suggestions
I have benefited greatly from studying the literature retrieval course. I no longer let the school’s data resource library be wasted. I know how to This way you can find some professional literature you need, which will be very helpful for your graduation thesis and future research. And Teacher Yang’s courseware is even more impressive and makes learning much easier.
But in teaching, it may vary from person to person, and there are still some areas that need to be improved. The classroom atmosphere is still dull sometimes. We should create a relaxed and happy atmosphere that is conducive to all students participating in teaching, especially I am a senior student. When giving lectures, the teacher should complete the literature search with the students appropriately. Use more examples and introduce less theoretical knowledge. Literature search is a very practical course. Let students do more hands-on work and less theoretical knowledge. Remember some theoretical knowledge.
But I learned a lot in this class, which is inseparable from Teacher Yang’s hard work.
