But in fact, Uni-President does not own the trademark "Fresher Orange". In this regard, Wu Yiting, general manager of Uni-President's South China Region and Guangzhou Uni-President, also admitted that when Uni-President introduced the plastic bottle orange juice two years ago, he used the fruit juice trademark "Fresh Orange Duo", which had been produced in Taiwan Province Province for more than ten years. However, according to the relevant laws of Chinese mainland, because the word "orange juice" is a common name, it has not applied for a trademark. In other words, "Fresher Orange" is just one category of Chinese mainland juice products. As a last resort, Uni-President applied for the design of "Fresher Orange", that is, the bottle sticker, as a patent, and in June 2009, it was granted patent protection by the State Patent Office.
