What is the maximum allowable temperature of substation equipment connector or clamp?

The conductor joint of high-voltage transmission line is the weak link in the safe operation of the line, especially the jumper joint connected by parallel groove clamp or bolt on the tension tower, because these two joints connect the conductors together by bolt. If the bolt is not pressed tightly during installation or loosened due to vibration and swing during normal operation, the resistance of the joint will increase, which will lead to the increase of the temperature of the joint, which will further increase the resistance of the joint and lead to a vicious circle. Light will affect the normal transmission, and heavy will cause accidents.

The strain clamp of transmission line is equipped with a "strain clamp temperature measuring device" and a unique ID sensor is bound. The base made of fast heat conduction material is fixed at each monitoring point on the line, and the heat is continuously transmitted to the temperature measuring chip inside the sensor.

In the on-line temperature monitoring device for wire clamps/fittings, a microprocessor is integrated in the temperature measuring chip, and the collected equipment temperature data is encrypted and transmitted to the real-time database in the cloud background through the signal receiver on the tower, so that the temperature change can be tracked and accurately collected.
