Ou Shiman brand founder:
Shen Zhirong was born in Shaoxing, Zhejiang in 1948. When he was a boy, he followed his father to Deqing, Zhejiang to engage in freshwater pearl cultivation. In 1967, Mr. Shen Zhirong, the founder of the brand, started with a pair of tweezers, two copper wires, and three drawings, and inherited China's important agricultural cultural heritage "Deqing Pearl System".
Based on Ye Jinyang’s traditional breeding techniques, he spent 26 years to conquer three core technologies, realized large-scale cultivation of freshwater pearls in China, and unconditionally opened pearl cultivation technology to the whole country.
In 1992, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation officially abolished the previous regulations that the sales of pearls were exclusively purchased and sold by China Arts and Crafts Import and Export Corporation. Subsequently, the country’s commodity classification of pearls was also reduced from Category II to Category II. It is divided into four categories, truly opening up the pearl market to free buying and selling. By 2005, China's total pearl trading volume reached 13.75 million tons, becoming the world's largest pearl producing country.
