What is DD motor and what is its basic function?

Direct driver (DDR) is a kind of motor that directly drives the load without any mechanical transmission mechanism (such as gearbox or belt). This kind of motor is also called torque motor. They generate high torque by using high-energy permanent magnets. ?

Akribis provides various types of DDR, including ADR-A series, ADR-B series, ADR-P series, ACW series, ACD series and the latest patented ATR series, with low inertia and high torque. According to the specific application, we also designed various customized direct drive motors.

DD is the abbreviation of direct drive, including torque motor and linear motor, followed by motor, called DD, and direct drive is also called direct driver.

Because of its large output torque, some companies directly refer to this product as torque servo. Different from the traditional motor, this product can be directly connected with the motion device because of its large torque, thus eliminating the connection mechanism such as reducer, gearbox and pulley, so it is called direct driver.

Because this type of motor is generally equipped with a high-resolution encoder, this product can achieve higher accuracy than ordinary servo. Due to the direct connection mode, the positioning error caused by mechanical structure is reduced and the machining accuracy is ensured. On the other hand, for some camshaft control methods, on the one hand, the dimensional error caused by mechanical structure friction is reduced, on the other hand, the noise during installation and use is greatly reduced.
