The dishes of Hongyan Hotel are famous for their fine selection of materials, exquisite craftsmanship, stable quality and distinctive features. After years of hard work, they have formed their own characteristics.

Braised elbow, braised eggplant, braised skirt, fried fish slices and braised winter bamboo shoots were rated as famous dishes in China by the State Bureau of Domestic Trade 1999. Orchid shrimp slices, stewed fish, red rock frog soup, crab-yellow chicken with diced cabbage, wide belly in chicken sauce and shark's fin with cabbage were rated as famous dishes in China in 2003 by China Cuisine Association. From 1999 to now, 14 has been rated as a famous dish in China by the State Bureau of Domestic Trade, China Cuisine Association and China Hotel Association respectively. The traditional snack "Qizi sesame seed cake" was carefully developed by the pastry chef of Hongyan Restaurant, and was rated as "the first snack in China" by China Cuisine Association 1997.
