Gravity keeps our feet above the earth, makes us revolve around the sun, and makes the solar system run in our galaxy. Although we often call it force, the actual situation is much more complicated. As Einstein expounded in his general theory of relativity, gravity is actually the result of mass bending space-time. The greater the mass of an object, the greater its gravity. "Anti-gravity" is an imaginary method to counteract the influence of gravity. At present, most scientists believe that anti-gravity does not exist and is impossible. But this has not stopped many people from trying to come up with ways to achieve it. In fact, some inventors have claimed to have done it.
In the 1920s, Thomas Thomson Brown, an American inventor, claimed that he had made an electronic device that could control gravity. Its effect was later attributed to the airflow caused by electrostatic attraction. Recently, in the 1990s, Russian researcher Eugene Podklenov claimed that rotating superconductors could reduce the influence of gravity effect. However, his experiment has never been successfully replicated. It is rumored that nikola tesla also tried anti-gravity technology. It is said that he applied for a patent for a device similar to a flying saucer.
In the novel The First Man on the Moon published by 1902, the British novelist George Wells introduced a substance called "Cavorite". This material makes the object like a shadow, which can produce a shell to eliminate gravity. The idea was absurd at that time, and even jules verne, the father of science fiction, could not accept it.
A more well-founded anti-gravity theory involves the concept of antimatter. Antimatter consists of antiparticles, which have the opposite physical charge to normal particles. Protons are no longer positively charged and electrons are no longer negatively charged. Conversely, protons are negatively charged and electrons are positively charged. Only neutrons remain neutral.
Scientists at CERN have successfully produced antihydrogen, and scientists at Brookhaven National Laboratory in the United States have also produced antihydrogen. However, the biggest problem with antimatter is how it will behave under the influence of gravity.
Because the magnetic field used to capture antiparticles is very strong, the influence of gravity on antiparticles cannot be observed. In other words, we don't know whether antiparticles will fall or rise under the influence of gravity. If antimatter rises instead under the influence of gravity, anti-gravity is found. Although we are not sure yet, the preliminary experimental prediction is that antimatter, like normal matter, will fall under the action of gravity.
Even if this is not the case, it is still not a feasible method to manufacture anti-gravity because its manufacturing method is extremely difficult and expensive.
Although CERN is fully engaged in scientific research, conspiracy theories about anti-gravity technology abound. Many people think that the US Air Force, the US Navy and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) may have secretly acquired anti-gravity technology and used these "technologies" to classify some observed UFO phenomena as new equipment.
However, this is not entirely science fiction. In 20 17, the document "advanced aviation threat identification plan" in the United States was published (the plan was specially investigated by the U.S. Department of Defense for UFOs), which revealed the research on power technology alternatives including anti-gravity technology.
The destructive physical power plan of NASA from the end of 1990s to the beginning of this century is also aimed at anti-gravity power technology. This encourages a view about UFOs: UFOs that have long been regarded as alien visitors are actually top secret anti-gravity machines.
However, if this technology does exist, NASA is more likely to apply it to their space missions. This research project is probably just wishful thinking.
However, if anti-gravity can be created, it will be one of the greatest discoveries in human history, and related new inventions will completely change the status quo of space travel. When the space shuttle flies into space, it no longer needs so much fuel to overcome the influence of gravity.
Some people think that anti-gravity technology led to the invention of curvature engines, because they can let us distort space-time. By creating opposite regions of space expansion and contraction, we can create a kind of "wave" on which spacecraft can ride. The problem is that it is difficult to control the speed and destination of the ship, which may break some other physical laws.
However, anti-gravity (technology) makes it easier for us to reach other planets, and life on those planets becomes easier. For example, we don't have to worry that the planet's gravity is too strong for human habitation. We have a way to build a floating city in the upper atmosphere of Venus.
Perhaps some applications of antigravity are closer to the earth, which is what Back to the Future promised us decades ago: floating boards and flying cars. With anti-gravity technology, these two things will eventually become possible. By blocking or counteracting gravity, we can lift objects of any size-we may not even need flying cars because we can get flying boots.
The power of flying may be close at hand, so why not build a huge floating city with the floating city on Venus in the sky of the earth? Huge buildings can float on the surface of the earth, and cities can also float on empty land and sea where there can be no buildings.
Flying is not the only superpower we can achieve (through anti-gravity), and telepathy can also be achieved by manipulating gravity on a small scale. It will be interesting to combine telepathy with flying technology, but it will be revolutionary for people with limited mobility.
There are some technologies with similar effects in real-world examples-but it is hard to imagine how much impetus anti-gravity technology can bring to them. Take the maglev train suspended on the magnetic track as an example. Other countries also have it, but the largest maglev train currently in operation is in Shanghai. Although they are quiet, stable, fast and energy-saving, they are still expensive and difficult to operate. With advanced anti-gravity technology, maglev trains will become more and more common, and even realize trackless flight.
This will be an unprecedented scientific breakthrough, which will prompt human beings to conquer the Milky Way, realize their superpowers and benefit all mankind.
All this will be accompanied by anti-gravity.
