Inheriting the idea of decades of skills, innovative spirit and Excellence: building Atmos HERM? The three brands of Air Clock share the same values. From the beginning of the design of the timepiece, it is inseparable from the manual manufacturing technology called "Bien fact". In the magical crystal ball, there is a unique movement. The movement developed by Jaeger-LeCoultre Watch Factory is almost unchanged. Since 1928, the mechanical structure of Atmos air clock has shocked the world because of its extraordinary operating device: it does not need batteries or power supply, and relies on ingenious design to run with air as power. The sealed shell is filled with mixed gas, which expands or contracts with the slight change of ambient temperature. The sealing cover expands and contracts like an accordion bellows, thus winding the clock continuously. The equipment is very sensitive, and the temperature difference of one degree is enough to make it run for 48 hours. The balance balance wheel of the air clock swings only twice per minute, while the balance balance wheel of the traditional watch swings 300 times per minute on average, so it consumes 250 times as much energy as the air clock. This ingenious device contains 190 parts, all carefully assembled by Jaeger-LeCoultre Watch Factory. Adhering to the craftsman spirit, Hermes entrusted Les Cristalleries de Saint-Louis to manufacture the extraordinary crystal glass cover of the gas clock: the double crystal technology of stacking different colors of crystals to create a double crystal ball. In Les Cristalleries de Saint-Louis, only six experienced glassworkers are proficient in this technology. First of all, the glass craftsman dipped one end of the blowpipe in white liquid enamel and processed it into a ball; After that, air is blown into the enamel through a blowpipe while heating continuously; Then, use a square mallet with an arc surface to round the enamel until it forms a "small cup" shape. Because the material is opaque, it is impossible to see the thickness difference inside the enamel, which makes this first process very difficult. At the same time, four glassworkers "beat" transparent crystal glass and heated it to form a ball. Next, the double crystal will be made: the glassmaker will take off the small white enamel cup at one end of the blowpipe, and another glassmaker will put the transparent crystal glass in it. So, the two materials are superimposed and processed at the same time, put into the mold, and finally blown into a sphere with a diameter of 30 cm. Then, put the ball into the annealing furnace and gradually cool it to prevent the glass from bursting. After cooling, the ball weighs about ten kilograms. At this time, it is necessary to punch holes in the position where the mechanical device is loaded. Then, according to the marks drawn in advance, transparent round beads are carved on the sphere. The last step is polishing to make the sphere appear subtle light. Put the movement of the clock into this delicate sphere with transparent effect and milky light, and a rare treasure condensed the essence of handicrafts was born. Atmos air clock will last for several minutes and hours. In fact, behind it, the precious time paid by craftsmen has already condensed: in order to master every excellent and unique skill, it takes years of study and accumulation of professional knowledge.
