Registration conditions
Chinese citizens who support the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China and meet the following conditions can register for the National Patent Agent Qualification Examination:
1. Over 18 years old, with full capacity for civil conduct;
2. Graduation from a college of science and engineering or equivalent;
3. Familiar with patent law and related legal knowledge;
4. Have engaged in scientific and technical work or legal work for more than two years.
Graduation from science and engineering majors in colleges and universities refers to obtaining a nationally recognized college degree or above in science and engineering and obtaining a diploma.
The key is to see which major your engineering master's degree is in. The scope of science and engineering majors that are allowed to apply for refers to categories 07-10 in the catalog of undergraduate majors in ordinary colleges and universities compiled by the Ministry of Education. Specifically, Please refer to the "Encyclopedia of Undergraduate Majors in China's General Universities" published by Capital Normal University Press (2009 edition) or the "Comparison Table of the Old and New University Science and Engineering Majors" in the "Qualification Examination" column on the government portal of the State Intellectual Property Office.
