One patent application and multiple application numbers

(1) Applying for a patent can have three types: application number, publication number, and patent number, which are determined according to the type of patent applied for.

1. The patent application number is represented by 12-digit Arabic numerals, including three parts: application year number, application type number and application serial number.

2. In order from left to right, the 1st to 4th digits in the patent application number indicate the year in which the patent application was accepted

3. The 5th digit indicates the patent Type of application (1 indicates invention patent application; 2 indicates utility model patent application; 3 indicates design patent application; 8 indicates PCT invention patent application entering the Chinese national phase; 9 indicates PCT utility model patent application entering the Chinese national phase.)

4. The 6th to 12th digits (***7 digits) are the application serial number, indicating the relative order of accepting patent applications
